My son loves to play ball!

In a few short weeks, my eldest of 3 kids is off to school - WOW time really flys (I know, people always tell me it's going to, yet day to day it can be Looong sometimes!). He is mad on playing soccer, rugby (World Cup Rugby in NZ in a few months), and catch. So I hope he will love this little card.

Fresh Sympathy

Sadly, A family friend has lost their 19year son in a car accident. What a tragedy. Although there is nothing to say that would ease the pain of such a loss, I wanted to send a card to let her know that she is in our thoughts. A card that wasn't too old and wasn't too feminine as well. I used the layout from Simon Says Stamp . The leaves are a piece of ribbon trimmed up and the butterfly is Martha Steward, Verve stamps and recycled music score.

Thanks for looking and have a wonderful and safe day,
L. meg

Dancing on an Easel

Hi, I just loved making this cute twisting easel card. The card lies flat but as you open it the card twists a 1/4 turn. It looks really impressive but is so easy to do. I followed the wonderful tutorial by Pam Sparks : Just remember to make the angle fold the right direction - hmmm guess what I did!! My husband is not sure that the recipent would know how to open this to the easel so I might have to add instructions LOL!! This is the unopened card:
And here it is opened up. I cut off part of the background to make the image look like a pop up. I also double mounted the butterflys to make them look a little 3D on the base sheet. The creamy cloth flowers are actually from a ribbon which I trimmed to seperated the little daisies.

Marci is coloured with watercolour pencils with a few stickles.

Have a great day, thanks for looking,
L. meg

A special day

A card for a very special aunty for her birthday.  The image was stamped twice and the second tilda layered over the first so that the bubbles could be blowing skywards.  She is coloured with distress inks.  The other items are punched. I have entered this in the magnolia-licious challenge with a pink telephone as inspiration!! http://www.magnolia-liciouschallengeblog.blogspot.com/ Posted by Picasa
